Privacy Policy for RCards

This Privacy Policy describes how RCards ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application RCards (the "App").

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide. The App allows you to store loyalty card data (card names, barcodes, card numbers, notes, and card images) locally on your device. This data is stored only on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

1.2 Camera Access. The App may request access to your device camera to scan barcodes. Camera data is processed locally on your device and is not stored or transmitted.

1.3 Location Data. The App may request access to your location to provide location-based features such as suggesting nearby stores. Location data is processed locally and is not transmitted to our servers.

1.4 Biometric Data. The App supports biometric authentication (fingerprint or face recognition) to protect access to the App. Biometric data is handled entirely by your device's operating system. We do not collect, store, or have access to your biometric data.

1.5 Advertising Data. We use third-party advertising services (Appodeal and its mediation partners) to display ads within the App. These services may collect and use certain data, including your device advertising identifier, IP address, device type, operating system, and general location data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads. 1.6 Analytics Data. We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage data (such as screen views, feature usage frequency, and session duration) and Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports and performance data. This data is anonymized, does not personally identify you, and is used solely to improve the App's functionality, stability, and user experience.

1.7 Subscription Data. If you purchase a subscription, the transaction is processed entirely by Google Play. We do not collect or store your payment information. We only receive confirmation of your subscription status from Google Play to provide you with premium features.

1.8 Predefined Cards Catalog. To offer a catalog of predefined cards (store names and logos), the App downloads the catalog and its images from our server. These are standard HTTP requests: our hosting provider may temporarily log technical request data such as your IP address. No data about your stored cards is included in these requests.

2. Data Backup

The App provides a user-initiated backup feature that saves your loyalty card data to a local file on your device or to the App's folder in your Google Drive account. The backup file may be encrypted at your discretion. Backups are created and transferred only when you explicitly initiate the process. When using Google Drive, the backup file is stored in your personal Google Drive account within the App's dedicated folder. We do not have access to your Google Drive or your backup files. Google Drive storage is subject to Google's Privacy Policy. You are solely responsible for the security and storage of your backup files.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes: to provide and maintain the App functionality; to display advertisements (for free-tier users); to analyze and fix crashes and bugs; to improve the App and user experience; to verify subscription status and provide premium features.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your loyalty card data is stored locally on your device. We do not have access to this data and do not transmit it to any external servers. If you use the RCards Wear OS app, your card data is synced between your own phone and watch through Google Play services on your devices; it is not routed through our servers. App access can be protected with biometric authentication handled by your device's secure hardware. Backup files can be encrypted for additional security. We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information, but no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

The App offers optional paid subscriptions that unlock premium features and remove advertisements. Subscriptions are processed through Google Play. We do not collect, process, or store any payment or financial information. Subscription management (including cancellation) is handled through Google Play. Refund requests must be directed to Google Play.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us so we can delete such information.

8. Your Rights

You can delete all your data at any time by uninstalling the App or clearing the App data in your device settings. You can opt out of personalized advertising by adjusting your device advertising settings. You can revoke camera and location permissions at any time in your device settings. You can manage or cancel your subscription through Google Play.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
